How does Stripe protect Sellers?
There are no seller transactional fees, so you keep 100% of your earnings! (As you should).
Stripe also keeps purchase and sale funds safe and secure with a powerful anti-fraud protection engine, so you can sell with peace of mind.
How does Stripe protect transaction funds?
Once a purchase has been made, Stripe temporarily holds the money.
When a Seller has marked the item as shipped, the Buyer will have 7 days to receive their order and mark it as "received" on the Rated app or report an issue. If the item is not marked as ”shipped” within 7 days of the order being placed, the transaction is cancelled automatically releasing the money for the item and shipping back to the buyer.
Marked as received:
The funds will be released to the Seller immediately
After 7 Days:
If the Buyer hasn't marked the order as received and has not raised a dispute by clicking "I have an issue with my order" button in their order screen, the funds will automatically be released to the Seller.
How does Stripe protect Buyers?
Every order made using our integrated payment service has a Transaction Safeguard fee
It entitles the buyer to claim a refund in the following cases:
- The item has not been delivered (and the buyer reports this by clicking the "I have an issue with my order" button in their order screen within 7 days since the "shipped" status)
- The item received significantly differs from its description or the item arrived damaged (and the buyer reports this by clicking the "I have an issue with my order" button in their order screen within 7 days since "shipped" status)
Transaction Safeguard is applied to the order automatically during checkout and remains valid until the transaction is completed or cancelled.
Please keep in mind that Rated Marketplace Transaction Safeguard does not apply to any deals conducted outside of Rated (deals that are not conducted by clicking "BUY NOW" on the Rated Marketplace product screen and proceeding with the checkout process on the Rated app).
How much is the Transaction Safeguard Fee?
The Transaction Safeguard service is mandatory for every order made using our integrated payment service and is applied automatically during checkout.
Costs for the Transaction Safeguard service amount to a fixed fee of GBP 0.30p plus 4.5% of the item price, (excluding costs for delivery).
